“Let them eat cake.”

Forget blowing out a candle – when you’re celebrating your first birthday these days it’s all about the smash and splash. Watching your little one smash their way through a brightly coloured, cream cake is hilarious and produces the most spectacular photographs (certainly ones to be rolled out at their 18th birthday!). The smashing session is followed by a splashing session, in a bath full of bubbles.

Preparing for your Shoot

 

Typically you can come a month or so before the big day to have the photographs in time for the actual birthday or up to a month afterwards. I provide everything including the cake, smash outfits, props and the bath. All you need to bring is an outfit for the baby portrait.
